Rita Orji was a Postdoctoral Researcher with ACT Lab investigating how interactive technologies can be designed to motivate desirable behaviours in older adults. She is now a Banting Postdoctoral Fellow at Waterloo University.
Prior to joining McGill, Dr. Orji was a Visiting Senior Lecturer at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Nigeria, and a Postdoctoral Fellow at Yale University, USA. She received her PhD in Computer Science from the University of Saskatchewan in 2014. Before moving to Canada, she received a MSc in Information Systems (Informatics) from Middle East Technical University, Turkey, and a BSc in Computer Science from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Nigeria. Rita is particularly passionate about studying how Behaviour Change Support Systems and Persuasive Technologies can be designed to help people move towards improved health and wellness.
