Mauricio Fontana de Vargas
PhD Candidate
Mauricio is a PhD candidate in the School of Information Studies at McGill University. His doctoral work focuses on improving the usability of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices through an adaptive and context-aware user interface.
Before joining McGill, Mauricio completed his Master’s in Electrical Engineering at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, where he worked on a service personalization system for smart homes.
